Cognex offers various vision options for adjustment with industrial applications. The new VisionView administrator display panel is suitable for beginners who only require a plug-and-go product, without the need to install or build the PC. Cognex offers an “ActiveX display” control which can be used for other HMI devices or user-defining interfaces which are the integrated administrator interfaces for applications which require an additional user definition. The low-cost VisionView administrator interface panel does not require a link to a PC for monitoring the production process. Administrators can respond to problems more easily than ever before. A maximum of 9 systems will appear as the title view. The standard built-in automatic protocol offers all the information required to control the systems and HMI more easily. ◎ Automatic system detection - Automatically detects all Cognex vision systems on the network. ◎ Mix and match -Displays all Cognex vision systems at the same time. ◎ Plug and go - Easy to use the VisionView with no PC required. ◎ Optimization for vision - Presents whole color images on the 800 x 400 touchscreen (wide screen). ◎ System expansion - Maximizes system flexibility with 5 Ethernet ports and 3 USB ports. ◎ Quick image update - Offers the latest inspected image. 3-1. Online features Sometimes the application needs to be modified due to unexpected user interruptions. VisionView offers various executive modes including user definition controls. VisionView allows only authorized users to configure important controls such as trigger or online status. 3-2. Additional vision options In-Sight offers strong and simple methods for vision system interfaces including HMI or SCADA for cutting-edge machines or line interfaces. ◎ Strong OPC server The OPC (OLE for controlling the process) offers simple and flexible methods to control the standard In-Sight functions using OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) and data. The OPC "tag" (including the user definition information) allows you to write in the working spreadsheet and offers simple methods to determine the tag posted in other OPC programs such as general HMI or SCADA packages and composes tags in the In-Sight OPC server. The In-Sight OPC server offers a posting function and tag composition for all In-Sight vision systems containing the job tags defined in the network where the PC is linked. In addition, this server monitors the tag status and offers simple methods for recording the event for all the vision systems linked in a single program. ◎ Integrated administrator interface In-Sight Explorer offers a user-defining view interface to simplify In-Sight use for the administrator. It also reduces the expenses for any additional interface software required to monitor one or more In-Sight vision sensors linked into the network. Customized administrator interfaces can be written in the spreadsheet to monitor the In-Sight vision system more easily for line operators or technicians, or maintenance people. ◎ ActiveX Display Control The user-defining view interface of the In-Sight vision system and camera images can be integrated with other HMI programs using the In-Sight ActiveX Display Control. This control can be easily deployed and configured in key HMI software packages such as Rockwell® RSView®, Invensys Wonderware® InTouch®, and Parker/CTC InteractX.
